Lift the years away with just one stitch
Sagging of the skin around the face, and a loss of elasticity is one of the main visual effects of ageing.
A dynamic thread lift is a long-lasting, cost-effective treatment which gives you a smoother, more youthful appearance, revealing the natural contours of your face which may have been disguised by the ageing process.
What is a dynamic spring thread lift – and is it safe?
The dynamic spring is a permanent, minimally invasive thread lifting procedure which uses non-absorbable suspension suture thread to lift the face. The thread is made of medical-grade polyester and silicone which are both biocompatible and have been in common medical use for over 50 years. The suture has elasticity in order to allow for the natural stretching of the skin which occurs with normal muscle action, which means the effect is natural and soft, rather than a more dramatic, ‘pulled’ effect which you might see from a full surgical face lift.
How is it done?
A one-stitch face-lift is created by making a small incision in the hairline, where the tissues can be threaded and anchored in order to lift the skin and smoothen the areas around the cheekbones and jawline, redefining your features.
This procedure is performed under local anaesthetic and takes about an hour to complete, allowing patients to return home on the same day and experience the full effect of firm, smooth and beautiful skin within days.
What is the recovery time like?
The minimally invasive nature of the dynamic spring thread procedure means that there is very little pain, swelling and bruising caused by one-stitch facelifts so there is no need to take time off work or hide away at home for days as the beautiful results manifest quickly.
Can I combine a dynamic spring thread lift with other treatments?
Yes – this works very well. In cases where there is severe skin laxity, a small amount of skin can be discreetly removed around the hairline in a mini-facelift technique called the Hollywood lift. The one-stitch face-lift is also safe to combine with our other anti-ageing and facial contouring cosmetic treatments such as fat transfer and dermal fillers to achieve beautiful results.
Where can dynamic sutures be applied?
The most common use of the dynamic suture is for a mid and lower face-lift. It is also used to lift the following – neck, brow, arms, breasts, thighs, abdomen and buttocks. Many surgeons are now using this suspension suture to complement full face lift because of the permanent support it provides to the tissues under the skin.
On its own, this thread lift is suitable only for cases of mild to moderate sagging.
